Sadly MarionCC farewelled Elaine in early October, after more than three years at the helm of the front desk. While Elaine has enjoyed working part time over the past few years it was time to return to full time employment and no sooner than she made this decision she was offered an opportunity that was too good to refuse!

Elaine will be mostly working from home during the day, leaving her free to attend dancing in the evenings and still able to enjoy her weekends. There were many tears (both hers and ours) when Elaine said goodbye but like most of the previous staff at MarionCC she’ll be dropping in for a spinal tune up and we’ll be keeping in touch. We wish her all the best in her new position and look forward to her visits to MarionCC.

The timing wasn’t too bad for Elaine’s departure as Isla was just finishing up Uni for the year and about to look for a Summer job. Isla will be filling in for a while giving us some time to find someone suitable and train them up before Uni goes back in February.

If you know of anyone you think that may be suitable please have a chat with Tracey. Word of mouth always brings better options and it’s preferable to find someone within our like-minded community.

Working from home (WFH) has many benefits (as we’re sure Elaine is just about to experience!?) It has changed our daily routines and given many workers better work-life balance. It eliminates commute time and saves on commuting costs as well as allowing you to personalise your work space. Make sure this is a priority…no laptops on your lap on the couch!

Make healthy food choices and be active when you can…use the time you saved getting to and from work to exercise. We’ve certainly noticed our WFH patients are happier and appreciate the positives in WFH.
