Dare we acknowledge it but MarionCC has been swimming along nicely in recent times. Elaine will soon notch up three years here and Isla has been here for over a year already! Tracey has been gradually decreasing her patient load since Dr Lydia joined us early in 2022, while Dr Lydia’s patient base continues to grow.
There’s a community feel in the practice which includes staff and patients, new and old, which is difficult to obtain. Thank you for being a part of this.
Family and community is very important for all of us. Tracey will be spending Father’s Day with Steve’s Dad in Brisbane then heading down to Sydney for her Dad’s 85th birthday the following week, so she’ll be away from the end of August for a couple of weeks.
In conjunction with Spinal Health Week in May, MarionCC has been offering a free spinal screening for children under the age of 12. Dr Lydia has been busy assessing children of all ages from as young as 7 months old, and providing education, advice and treatment as indicated. She even saw a young lady who remembered that she first came in as a child when Tracey was offering her own free spinal screening 20 years ago!
A child's spine and nervous system is very important for proper growth and development, enabling healthy communication between the brain and body - essential in unlocking a child's full potential and maintaining their health. It is always better to address an issue at an early age before it manifests into a permanent chronic problem as the spine and nervous system matures.
Talk to your chiropractor or our staff if you have concerns about your child/grandchild so we can discuss it further with you. If you have no concerns then it’s still a good idea to have them checked, just like having their teeth checked at the Dentist before they develop symptoms and more complex problems.
Recently Dr Tracey adjusted her first centenarian patient! Since starting practice in 1996 she has been caring for many patients on an ongoing basis. After celebrating his 100th birthday early in June he was very pleased to come in for his check up and adjustment with Dr Tracey who has been caring for him for over 28 years.
